The Space Pirates Guild words are EX UNDIS AD ASTRA
or FROM THE WAVES TO THE STARS.

This motto alludes to the parallels between the expanses of the seven seas and the endless voids of space, invoking both humanity's evolution out of the ocean and our aspiration to explore the universe.

I wrote too many songs for the sophomore SPG release, and so the project is split into two halves.

This first album in the pair, EX UNDIS, is filled with motifs of origin, nostalgia, rock, and the sea.

AD ASTRA will evoke the future, imagination, electronica, and the cosmos.
